Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
-
Where are you located? Where should I park?
Sustain Co. is located in the heart of downtown Parksville at 175 Weld street, also nicknamed “well” street, known for its dense collection of convenient health and wellness services.
Street parking is available directly out-front, but can be busy throughout business days. We recommend that for the most easeful experience, you utilize the free McCarter Street Parkade, located almost directly behind us. This will require a quick 1-2 minute stroll over to Weld Street.

Do you provide direct billing?
Yes! We provide direct billing to most major extended health insurance companies. For a list of providers and what services we can bill for click here.
At this time we do not bill directly to ICBC or WSB. Some practitioners have chosen to “partially opt in” to ICBC, meaning that you will be able to work through your treatment plan with them, pay directly for treatment and submit your receipt to ICBC for reimbursement. We do not accept WSBC cases at this time.
Please inquire directly with any questions or specifications to your case.
-
How early should I arrive for my appointment?
Please arrive about 5 minutes prior to your appointment time to settle in or fill out any outstanding forms. Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to your appointment.
We also ask that when waiting for your appointment or enjoying our space that you speak in a soft, inside voice to respect the experience of other patients and their treatment environment.
-
What is your Cancellation Policy?
We understand that life can be unpredictable, but we kindly request at least 24 hours' notice for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment will be subject to 100% of the service cost. This policy is in place because last-minute cancellations often leave us unable to fill your appointment time, which impacts our practitioners personal income directly and limits other patients who may be in need. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Do I need to wear a mask?
Masks are not required in our facility. However, if you feel more comfortable receiving treatment with both you and your practitioner masked, or if you are immunocompromised, you are welcome to request that your practitioner wear a mask while in your treatment room. We always have spare masks available for your convenience. Please note that we cannot guarantee that other patients and their practitioners will be masked.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all common forms of payment, including: cash, debit, credit card (Visa & MasterCard) and mobile payment options like Apple Pay or E-transfer.
We do not accept cheques.
