FAQ’s:

  • Wearing comfortable, moveable clothing is helpful to allow for full range of motion during assessments. Be prepared to discuss any current symptoms, limitations or goals that you may have, as well as health history & lifestyle habits. It’s also recommended to hydrate well before and after your session.

  • During your first session, your RMT will conduct a thorough assessment, which includes discussing your health history, current symptoms, and treatment goals. They will then explain the proposed treatment plan, and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions before the session begins.

  • Massage therapy can be beneficial for a variety of conditions including chronic pain, sports injuries, headaches, stress, anxiety, chronic nasal congestion, constipation, work related/overuse pain and muscular tension. It can also aid in rehabilitation from injury or surgery and improve overall wellness.

  • In BC, you do not need a referral to see an RMT. However, some insurance plans may require a referral from a doctor to be eligible for reimbursement, so it's best to confirm with your insurance provider. If a doctor's referral is required for coverage, we cannot submit a direct billing claim unless we have this note on file.

  • In BC, registered massage therapists must complete a recognized education program, pass the registration exams conducted by the CMTBC, and meet ongoing continuing education requirements to maintain their registration.
